The Price Increase Is Hard to Ignore
The performance upgrade comes with a higher entry price. Yahoo Finance notes that the previous base Mac mini sold for $799 before Apple raised the starting price to $899. The M5 Pro version also rises from the previous M4 Pro generation’s $1,599 starting price to $1,699. That makes the new Mac mini substantially less “mini” in price than earlier versions of the product.
